World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive season.
The 27-year-old secured four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.
Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.
The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the entire year as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.
In July, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.
Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a 63-12 match record, and collected a historic £11m in prize money.
She received nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.
Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "help bring women's tennis to a new level".
Last week, Carlos Alcaraz secured three honours in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Awards, which included the year-end number one award, while Jannik Sinner was chosen as fans' favourite for a third consecutive time.
