Real Madrid's winger Offers Apology to Los Blancos Devotees

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his reaction when replaced in Sunday's heated El Clasico triumph.

He was substituted in the second half and showed his annoyance by walking immediately to the dressing room.

The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barça's opposing player during contentious after the game exchanges.

"Today I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my reaction when I was substituted in the big match," Vinicius shared on X.

"Similarly to I have already done during today's training, I also want to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the team, and the club president.

"Occasionally emotion gets the better of me because I continuously aim to win and help my team. My competitive character originates in the passion I have for this institution and all it represents."

The player moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has accumulated over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.

But his career in the Madrid is uncertain with reports in recent months indicating that Real would consider permitting the young star leave if they obtained a suitable offer.

When the winger was substituted on the match day, TV coverage from network the platform captured him stating: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I go, I'm going."

In his most recent message on X, he commented: "I vow to keep striving constantly for the good of the club, as I have done since the first day."
