Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 US jobs under a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

More global layoffs are likely, as the firm aiming to reveal full details via its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports had indicated the company aimed to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

As of December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
